"I will sing of steadfast love and justice; to you, O Lord, I will make music." Psalm 101:1

This Sunday’s gospel is a subtle way that Jesus tells us to be humble. He does so in a parable to those listening at a dinner table. This obviously goes much deeper than just dinner etiquette. We are asked to observe how we approach all things in life. Give more effort to the poor, the crippled, the blind; those who are too often pushed aside. If we only cater to those who are rich or just friends and family, and expecting something in return, then we will be humbled when such a repayment is not met as expected. Let’s reevaluate how we treat others in this world and provide an opportunity for those who are pushed aside to give them hope and companionship.
