By faith…
We are called to have faith in our Lord; to live on the path that is righteous and true to His teachings. It is challenging, especially in these days, where there is so much that is pulling away our focus and priorities. Jesus even promises of our eventual heavenly treasure and where our hearts will forever be. Peter questions Jesus about his parable of preparedness, and Jesus pursues by questioning Peter in return.
Then Peter said, “Lord, is this parable meant for us or for everyone?” And the Lord replied, “Who, then, is the faithful and prudent steward whom the master will put in charge of his servants to distribute [the] food allowance at the proper time?
Luke 12:41-42
The parable is meant for each of us to be ready. How is your life situation right now; what is keeping your focus away from Him? How are you exercising vigilance in preparation for “the hour or the day when the Son of Man will come?”
