Come Holy Spirit, Come! Last weekend we reflected on the Ascension of Jesus to his heavenly throne to prepare a place for each of us. He sends us a very important gift and it is this gift that allows us to be so uniquely unified. The Holy Spirit lives within each and everyone one of us.
To each individual the manifestation of the Spirit
1 Corinthians 12:7
is given for some benefit.
There are many described visuals of what the Holy Spirit is to us; a dove, tongues of fire, even wind. Let us focus on the mystery that the Holy Spirit is shared with each of us, so by looking to each other, we discover more about everyone and make us draw closer to one another as Christians. Let us be inspired and renewed by this Feast of of the Holy Spirit to become better Christians, better Catholics, a better community.
