Mass Readings:

Come Holy Spirit, Come! Last weekend we reflected on the Ascension of Jesus to his heavenly throne to prepare a place for each of us. He sends us a very important gift and it is this gift that allows us to be so uniquely unified. The Holy Spirit lives within each and everyone one of us.

To each individual the manifestation of the Spirit
is given for some benefit.

1 Corinthians 12:7

There are many described visuals of what the Holy Spirit is to us; a dove, tongues of fire, even wind. Let us focus on the mystery that the Holy Spirit is shared with each of us, so by looking to each other, we discover more about everyone and make us draw closer to one another as Christians. Let us be inspired and renewed by this Feast of of the Holy Spirit to become better Christians, better Catholics, a better community.

  • In our community, where is there the need of renewal?
  • How might you be a part of the renewing work of the Spirit?
  • Which gift of the Holy Spirit do you feel the most comfortable with?
  • Which gift discomforts you or challenges you?
  • What was your first experience of reconciliation like? Was it
positive or negative? Have your celebrated reconciliation
recently? If not, what is holding you back?
