Reflection

Mass Readings: http://www.usccb.org/bible/readings/051919.cfm

The readings for this weekend continue with Paul and Barnabas. It’s interesting to reflect and imagine how new everything was for them with their mission. John even reveals to us a new commandment that Jesus gives us. It is a simple request and most often one of the hardest. We must all choose to love on a continual basis. Even though Mother’s Day was celebrated this past weekend, let it serve as a reminder of how our Blessed Mother continually demonstrates her love for all of us. Let her be a model of how we can obey this new commandment together.

“I give you a new commandment: love one another. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another. This is how all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

John 13:34-35
  • How do you support others in faith?
  • How do you show love for the people closest to you?
  • When in your life have you needed to make a conscious decision to act out of love? What helped you make this decision?
