5th Sunday of Lent

Reflection

Mass Readings: http://usccb.org/bible/readings/040719.cfm

The readings for the Fifth Sunday of Lent reminds us to observe our own failings and sins. It is easy to cast blame and judgement on others. Often we get caught up in events of the past and are unable to let go and let God take control of the situation as He wills. He has done many great things for us, let us always rejoice in that and be glad.

I continue my pursuit toward the goal,
the prize of God’s upward calling, in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 3:14

How can we help one another to see ourselves as God sees us: with understanding and compassion? How do you extend forgiveness to those who have committed a public sin? Do you have the strength to stand up for those who are being quickly judged and persecuted? Are you the one trying to cast the first stone?
