The story of the Prodigal Son is a good reminder that if we reconcile with God and are humble, we are always welcomed back into His loving arms. This parable comes at a good time during lent in that it gives us a “checkpoint” to reflect how we are doing in our Lenten journey.
My son, you are here with me always;
Luke 15:31-32
everything I have is yours.
But now we must celebrate and rejoice,
because your brother was dead and has come to life again;
he was lost and has been found.
Which figure in the parable of the Prodigal Son do you identify with the most at this point in your faith journey: the prodigal, the older son, or forgiving father?
