Reflection

Mass Readings: http://www.usccb.org/bible/readings/030319.cfm

Today’s readings are timed so appropriately. Lent begins next week so today is more of a reflection on one’s own character. So many instances, we are quick to criticize the flaws in others, yet fail to look inward at themselves. In the second reading, gives us reassurance that if we continue to live true to His word and teachings, we shall always live victoriously.

Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters,
be firm, steadfast, always fully devoted to the work of the Lord,
knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.

1 Corinthians 15:58

In what ways do I speak or act without integrity? What must I say or do at home or in my community to bear good fruit? Can I make a commitment to doing something fruitful throughout Lent?
